Contest Registration
This page provides background on registration for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Contest.
Registration is a three step process.
- Each team must use the
ACM registration form located on the International ACM web page. The form must be submitted by the faculty sponsor.
- Contestants information must be entered.
- Each team must send a check or money order for the registration fee of or per team (see the fee information below).
Each team is asked to specify a preferred contest site. Assignments to sites are subject to availability and will not be made until the registration fee is received. A team will not be considered registered (thus will not be assigned to a site) until its fee has been received.
Teams from other regions wishing to register for this region must contact the Director of Regional Contests, Jim Comer, to receive permission to switch affiliations. Please make sure to indicate 1) the correct geographic region, 2) the site within the Mid-Atlantic region at which you wish to participate, and 3) the reason for the switch. Switches are considered if the site at which you wish to participate is geographically closer than the location of the correct region's contest.
Registration Fee
The registration fee of $135 per team must be received on or before Oct 3, 2008. Teams that do not send their payment before this date must pay a $50 late fee per team by October 15, 2008 or may be removed from the roster. Guests and alternates are $35 each.
The check or money order should be made payable to Mid-Atlantic Regional Contest Director and should be sent to the following address:
Regional Contest Director
ACM Mid-Atlantic Region
P.O. BOX 11644
Blacksburg, VA 24062
Please include the name of the team's sponsoring institution and the name and address of the faculty advisor with the check or money order. If this information is not included, we may not be able to match the fee to the registration form.
Refunds
A team can withdraw from the contest at any time, but notification of withdrawal must be received before October 10 for a refund. Teams withdrawing after October 10 will not receive a refund.
